Who has time for an exercise program? With the current economic situation and pressures from work and family, it's a constant struggle just to stay afloat. Despite the obstacles, it's important to learn how to relax and de-stress. Fortunately, exercise is one of the best ways to relieve your body of the tension associated with the grind of daily life. Not to mention that exercise releases endorphins that will make you feel remarkably better just because you put in a few minutes at the gym. Work, Home, Anywhere. It Doesn't Matter

Everywhere is a potential workout location. Those stairs at work are just begging to be climbed. The parking space at the grocery store that is at least 500 feet away from the entrance is a mini-cardio workout waiting to happen. The park across the street from your house, most likely boasts a plethora of exercise opportunities. It's important to realize that exercise can take place anywhere. Watch TV

Yes, you read right. Watch TV. But here's the catch. You have to exercise as you watch TV. The time will pass by quicker if you're distracted by Judge Judy or Oprah. All you need is a solid half hour, five days a week and you're on your way to decreasing your risk of all sort of health problems that can be alleviated via exercise. The key is to remember though that you're working out, not just watching TV. Whatever you do, do not sacrifice your workout intensity level just to better focus on what celebrity X was arrested for last night.

Family Time

Have you noticed how much energy your grade school age son or daughter has? Put it to use by having your child or children work out with you. If you want to do step aerobics, chances are good that your 5 year old does too. Want to do a high intensity kickboxing routine? Chances are your 11 year old wouldn't mind accompanying you. How about a quick jog in the park? Have your kids bring their bikes and rollerblades and all of a sudden, exercising is a family affair. The time that you would have spent chasing them around the house or trying to engage them in an activity can otherwise be spent getting the whole family to work out together. So instead of planning work out time around family time, mix the two. Make family time and work out time one in the same.
